Nautitech is a French yard in Rochefort that builds sailing catamarans in the roughly 41 to 48 foot range.
About the brand
The brand was created in 1994 within the Dufour Yachts group, passed into independent hands in 2002, has belonged to Bavaria Yachtbau since 2014, and since 2018 the German fund Capital Management Partners stands behind the group. Production sits in Rochefort-sur-Mer on the Atlantic coast, with annual output counted in the tens rather than the hundreds. The current range's hulls were designed by the Marc Lombard Yacht Design Group and the line consists of the 41 Type S, 44 Open and 48 Open.
In charter
Nautitech turns up in charter fleets less often than Lagoon or Fountaine Pajot, because the yard builds in small series and aims more at private owners. The Open concept without a flybridge means a lower centre of gravity and a more direct feel for the sailing. The helmsman, however, sits outside with no roof, and the deck lacks the raised seating that crews coming from other catamarans are used to.
